So I thought I would share a post of all of my hair and face products that I can't get enough of. Some are repeat buys, others are new(ish) but I just can't get enough of them.
I'll start of with showing you my hair products I'm mad for at the moment.
Tangle tease
After seeing many a blogger rave about the Tangle tease I really thought I must invest!.. From first brush I loved this, My hair is quite long which I love (and hate at times!) so it can get a little unruly. It didn't hurt to get through the lugs and knots that this windy weather causes, Amazing!
It's a hard plastic back which is easy to grip (unless your hands are wet) and comes in a rainbow of colours, mine is fluro pink, not that you can tell from this picture, I really must invest in a good camera. And are priced from £9.99, I got mine from my local Boots.
Macadamia Healing Oil
I've been buying this oil for a couple of years, I started with Moroccan but just found it a little too greasy in my hair, so when I spotted this at my stockist I thought I'd give this a go and have been hooked since. I use it on damp hair every time I get out of the shower. I only do my hair from 3/4 of the way up, you only need a tiny amount so a bottle this size, which is priced at £4.50 lasts me 3/4 months! I am terrible for going to bed with wet hair, and I know I shouldn't (slap my hand!) but once I've used this I plait my hair and when I wake up and my hair is always beautifully nourished with soft waves, I can literally just get up and go!.
Batiste dry shampoo
This one is a newbee.. I bought this after seeing it on a blog last month. Its been great to use! As my hair is long it takes forever to dry, so some mornings when I "accidentally" hit snooze to many times, this is a saviour! I jump out of bed, shower and spray this in my hair until I get home and have a bit more time. It doesn't leave any white chalkiness like the old dry shampoo's did so this is becoming a regular in my bathroom, and for £1.99 and numerous 342 offers in supermarkets/pharmacy's it's a definite must have.
Loreal Everpure
I've been using this shampoo/conditioner combo for a couple of weeks. I do have dry hair (all the colour changes i've had over the years!) and I feel like these have massively improved the condition of my hair. They are £4.99 each, which is properly a little pricey for shampoo but im trying everything possible to re-condition my hair and get it back to a youthful state rather than dull and dry. This is a stayer in my hair routine.. for now!.
So we move on to my rather large skincare collection.
As a teenager I suffered so terribly with acne, but I always had dry skin. I'd use one product to eliminate the acne but then my skin would be dryer than it already was (dilemma!!). At 18 years old I was lucky enough to be working in a salon who sent me on Elemis training, so my love for there products have stayed with me for 8 years!.. Well why wouldn't they, they are brilliant and smell so delicious, but unfortunately a little pricey. I don't mind paying slightly more for something if I know it's going to work though, so my Elemis products I have used for a loooonnngggg time. But I love them...
Elemis Pro Radience cream cleanser
In a morning quickness is everything to me, I don't want to be having a full routine so a face wash/wash off cleanser is all I want. I dampen my face slightly, use one pump and rub it all over. I then leave it for a minute or so then wash it off when I get in the shower. How easy is that!
This 150ml will last me around 12 months, and priced between £23-29 Its not too bad in the long run. It keeps my skin fresh and hydrated and smells like fresh roses, I love it.
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine cream
At first I didn't like this, it felt thick and heavy, to rich for my skin and I used to break out terribly after using this. Then Christmas '10 my nan bought me an Elemis gift box with lots of goodies in and then I saw this, I sighed when seeing it but would never let it go to waste so I tried again. As my skin has matured it now loves this, sucks it in like a straw! This has been in my daily routine for 3 years and I'm not changing any time soon. It's really helped with my scaring that I had from acne and it's keeping my crows feet at bay, (I hope). Again, it's a pricey one but lasts a while, at £72 it's the most expensive face product I own, but Elemis do great gift sets. I have one every year and it's rare they don't last me to the following Christmas. This is an investment purchase definitely.
Clarins Cleanser & Toner
Anything that doesn't break my skin out in my books has a big thumbs up, so this for me definitely has! It smells fresh (I'm all about smells) and doesn't dry my skin out or make it tingle or sore afterwards. Perfect after a long day at work to get rid of my make up and all the chemicals your skin gets attacked with day by day. Even if you dont wear make up your should always cleanse and tone or face wash to clean your skin. These are £24.99 for the two, bit of a Clarins bargain I think.
Elemis Papaya Enzyme peel
This smells just like papaya, actually even better. I just want to eat it, yum yum!
I needed a face scrub that wouldn't aggravate my skin as since my acne has gone it's quite sensitive. This is perfect, you apply it and then tap your fingers all over your face to get the enzymes working (we were always told to explain it like a pac man is let lose on your face). I wash it off with warm water and a Muslim cloth, enter smooth skin. Believe it or not I've never bought a full size of this, I always get them in the kits. They range from £23-£30 online.
Una Brennan Face mask
After seeing this on Amy's blog and instagram I opted for a change from Elemis. I went for the rose hydrate mask, this leaves my skin feeling incredible. Super soft and takes any redness out of my cheeks. Perfect to give a little hydration in the winter months. I use it once a week and will be through the cold weather for a sunday night pick me up. It's priced at £5.99. I've just bought the Una Brennan Rose Oil to give my skin that extra boost this Christmas. I'm determined to get that dewy glow I so long for.
Elemis Tri-enzyme night cream
Last but not least is my night cream. Very heavy and thick in texture, which I now love. The resurfacing properties are also helping with my acne scaring which is a bonus to leaving my skin feeling hydrated in the morning. I have nearly finished this so I'm undecided on whether to try the full Una Brennan range as this is £55. Decisions decisions.
Hope you've enjoyed my post, have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
