YHere's my pick of nail varnishes that I think will be everywhere this year.. White is a key look.. So hard to wear unless you can get the right shade, if you go to Ciate.co.uk you can change the skin colour on the hand and try all the vanishes next to the colour that matches your skin, which I think is a brilliant idea because how many times have we bought a nail varnish then got it home and it looks awful.
Along side the white will be pastels and metallics.. Here are just a few that I love in the varnish's I've come across.. Keep an eye out for my next post where I will be showing you what gel's I'll be using this spring!...
Starting from top left.
Models Own - Grape Juice £5
I'm loving these varnishes as they are scented.. What a fab idea!.. And the pastel colour range I'm a big fan of anyway. They are easy to apply and don't go streaky (hate it when a pastel polish is streaky and you have to use a bazillion layers to get it even!).
Models Own - Banana Split £5
Yellow is a super hard colour to wear, I would steer clear of this unless you can try the colour on first..
I would be so tempted to use this and do a white accent nail.. Or it may look better doing it the other way around. These are so affordable and you can pick these up virtually anywhere. Have a look at the other colours of Asos or Boots.
Essie - For the twill of it £7.99
This just had to be in the metallics section for the spring. Colours like this always remind me of the spill of oil.. All the beautiful colours they make. Perfect for an evening or just with a nice chunky knit to spruce up n outfit.
Essie - Glamour purse £7.99
Perfect neutral shade, rather than a beige or nude that's been happening for years.. This colour is wearable anytime, anyplace, anywhere..
Essie - Mint candy apple £7.99
I first glanced upon this particular colour on Lily's blog.. It was so perfect for spring, not to green but not too pale. This is a definite day time look, not to sure how I'd feel about it for evening.. Saying that I bet it would look lovely against a black matte leather look dress or skirt.
Ciate - Oil slick £9.00
As previously mentioned.. I just love this look on nails (opi have one in a similar shade to the two I've chosen). I've only just found Ciate but they do have a range of amazing colours. This is one brand I've never tried, but I'm placing my order this evening. I've chosen Jewellery box, party shoes, pinkaboo, she's electric and one that I never go for.. Pool party.. It looks like a rich royal blue on the website, I hope it turns up like that.
Opi - ski slope sweetie £12.95
I'm not going to lie.. I half chose this because of the name, it comes out a little different to how it looks on here, it has more goldy tones too it.. But I think this could double up as a top layer over other colours and would look fab. Especially over a white white.
Essie - Mademoiselle £7.99
A really natural looking pale pink, it's a must for an nail junkie. Perfect for any occasion to just give our nails that "healty, natural, it's all me" kinda glow.
So there you have it. My top spring picks.. Happy reading
