This was one of those moments where it seemed everyone was using a stippling brush to apply there foundation other than me. Ive used so many different tools to apply my foundation, flat tapered foundation brushes, beauty sponges, pointed foundation brushes.. ahh the list goes on, the draw remains full of unused brushes.
So when every other blogger is using and loving something.. it's rude not to try it yourself! So when Boots had another 3 for 2 I nabbed myself the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. This was my 'free' item so there was no worry if I didnt like it.
These come in at £11.99 so getting it free was great.
I tried not to have any expectations for this, I just kept thinking have an open mind (I had an unbreakable love for my other RT foundation brush at that time) and in all honesty at first I didn't get it.. I just didn't get it. I put it to one side and left it for a few weeks, then I tried it with a cream blush, I was in love. I have struggled with how to apply this cream blush for possibly a year so this was one of those aaaaahhhhhh - the light shines down moments. Then I decided to buy another to give it a go with my Bourjous CC foundation and Garnier BB skin perfector & I have flawless skin!
I apply my foundation in blobs of where I want it on my face then stipple (a bit like a quick patting motion) then I buff it into my skin in circular motions. I like to take a couple of minutes to work it into my skin, I don't know why but I always think it looks better when I do that rather than rushing.
I love the flat base of the brush so it's able to sta d by itself, which actually I don't think ive ever come across any ither brush that has this! So its fab once you've cleaned them you can stand them all up on the towel instead of having to keep rotating them so one side doesn't go flatter than the other!
I think its safe to say..this is a firm fave in my makeup brushes now.
