L'Oréal Lip ♡

I do love a good nude lip as I may have mentioned in my lip post last week, so here's another that I'm loving at the moment.

I was googling the Kimye wedding ( come on we all did this..) and came across an interview with her makeup artist.
He said he used such a mix of high end and high street products,  which I think is fab that we can all strive to get the Kim K make up look without a hefty price tag.

Looking at the only photos released at the time,  she had the most stunning nude lip. The infamous one she does so well. Her make up artist continued to name the products at which I thought "ahh this is only going to be a U.S available product.

To my surprise in boots last week they had it. Nude Ballet. I, as per usual, swatched it and wondered about the shop seeing how I felt about it. It just wasn't for me, then I came across Rose Melody - 101.

This is a light, warm pink with a very subtle shimmer.
I did expect this to be more pigmented but in all honesty,  I'm glad it's not. It's a really beautiful every day colour.

I was a little worried about the texture when I first tried it.
It looked a little sticky & being a hybrid of a balm, gloss and lipstick not what I at all expected. It has the pigmentation of a liquid lipstick, the moisturisation of a balm and the glossiness of a gloss. After wearing this for about a week in the daytime  it's taking over all my tanya burr lip glosses - not my Charlotte Tilbury though. It's got a lovely creamy texture that isn't as sticky as first anticipated. It seems self leveling and didn't go on patchy.  Sometimes with lip products you can never get the right amount of the applicator,  but this was a pretty good amount. I love the fine tip on it as well, it's great for doing little touch ups if u just want that extra bit on the cupids bow.

Maximum wear I've had out of this is about 2-3 hours before reapplying, the pigmentation sticks around the longest with the gloss only lasting around an hour and It's pretty much game over when you eat or drink anything as it transfers to whatever cup your drinking from or fork your eating from. The darker ones seem to last a little longer but you'll have to wait until next week for that colour.

Altogether there are 16 shades ranging from nudes to pastel pinks, brighter pinks and corals to orange.
Overall ive really loved these lip products, I can't wait to get even more added to my collection.
