For a wedding gift my parents paid for us to stay in the most amazing hotel. The St Pancras Renaissance.
As we pulled up outside I don't think either one of us could believe that this was our home for the night.. before we jetted off on a weeks long honeymoon that is.
We got out of the car, our luggage was whipped away from us so we headed straight to the check in desk.
Straight away, congratulations were given to us on our nuptials (mother had sneakily popped that into the booking! Thumbs up mother!) checking in was done and we were shown around this humble abode. I did feel a little like I was at Hogwarts walking around here!
At the grand staircase our guide Laura filled us in on a little of the history here. She suggested a tour that you can do whilst at the hotel. It's free for residents but anyone can book on for a small charge.
Walking down the hallway to our room felt like a hall of mirrors.
We arrived at our room, it was spectacular. The bed was about 10ft wide, enough room for us both to starfish without accidentally kicking each other.
I snook off for a peak of the bathroom and was thrilled to find we were greeted with REN toiletries, shampoo and conditioner, shower gels and bath time treats, Including a St Pancras duck! And the best part is.. you get to keep him - I say him because he's black and silver, if he was the white or gold, totally would of been a her!!. This made my evening, ahh simple things ay.
We were totally worn out from the long stressed packed days running up to the wedding so when Laura left we had a little lie down on the best bed ever. A knock at the door was greeted with a lovely gent bringing us a congratulations cake. This hotel really know how to make your stay special.
We totally chilled that evening, in our robes we had room service watched The Wolf of Wall St and made the most of the amazing room we were in. Neither of us could be bothered to get dressed up for dinner so I think we need another stay there to see what the restaurant is like and so I can complete the whole duck collection. (hope the husband is reading this!!)
The next day I was geared up for a full days shopping in london, that was until my husband awoke suggesting we take a little trip to the spa.
It's only small, but the best things really do come in small packages. We were the only two in there for a while, drinking smoothies, napping poolside and taking the odd dip.
We then sauntered off for full body exfoliation and a massage. This was the perfect start to our honeymoon and honestly the BEST massage I've even gotten. If anything id go again just for a spa day.
Totally relaxed, we got picked up and whisked to Heathrow airport. This was the perfect start to a holiday, the only trouble is now we want to do it before every holiday.
This floor was just too amazing for me not to snap this shot of my ring below!
