I headed to the salon I've been at for a while now as I was in need of a desperate cut!
Having a busy job I hardly get the chance to head off and pamper myself, so I thought it was about time I did.
I usually get my hair coloured there too but with work being so hectic, on a whim I picked up a box colour when I was shopping. I used the Casting Cremé in Iced Truffle and honestly I love the colour. I think it was £7.
I was really worried doing it myself as I haven't since I was about 19 but it was so easy.
In all honesty I didn't have the relaxing salon experience to go with it, the drinking of hot chocolate whilst munching on biscuits. It was more of a 'if I move slowly this bun won't fall off my head whilst trying to load the washing machine' one.
Anywho.. Royston Blythe is the salon I went too -These guys are the ones who nailed all the wedding hair too.
I really do enjoy going here, all the staff are really friendly and when your in the salon you feel as if you could be in a chic London salon. Check them out here.
I have had a guy called Charles for pretty much the whole of my time there. He's super nice, really honest (so when I head in asking for something that's not gonna suit he will always say!) Which is what I need. I can honestly say I've never walked out dissapointed.
My dry, unmaintained locks were quickly seated at the sink after Charles suggested what we do.
Oh how I love having my hair washed at the hairdresser's.
Once seated we got down to it. A terrifying amount of hair fell to the floor. I can't actually believe how long & unruly it had got.
Over 40 minutes I lost about 3 inches. My hair feels in such better condition now. I feel that having a good cut every now and then completely brings it back to life.
If your in the Midlands or Shropshire area you should definitely pop in for these lovely people to give you the hair makeover you need.
Here are a few before and afters. Excuse all the posy pics, this was a total spur of the moment blog when I realised how pleased I was with my hair.
This was taken a couple of weeks ago, pre colour.
Random bathroom shot, as you do. I took this to remind me never to let it look like this again!
The day of the cut. Yes it's lovely & long but completely lifeless & wouldn't hold a curl.
