When I went on the hunt for a cranberry/ autumn berry shade of shade I heard a resounding 'Maybelline colour 24 Hour Tattoo in metallic cranberry of course!' on Twitter .. so I just had to try it didn't I.
But I couldn't walk out with just one, there was also a beautiful taupe, bronze brown shade called 'On & On bronze' And these were the cause of an upcoming rushed purchase of a 342 in Boots.
The colour tattoo's are so affordable as well, they are priced at £4.99 and on a 342 are around £3.32 per pot, even more of a bargain! I do wish there were a few more different colours in the range, there are only a few neutrals and 2 real pop of colour shadows, I do wish that they would release the matte range here that they released in the US in 2013. Lucky so and so's!
The packaging of these beautiful shadows are so similar to the MAC paint pots, with the clear jar and black lids. I totally love this look, I think it makes something so affordable look a lot more chic! Don't be mislead though these pots only contain 4g of actual shadow. Only downside will be once they've been used a little if your a fan of using your finger to apply creamier shadows then you can't exactly get your finger in without getting it all over your fingernails! yuk!
The colour looks really quite redy/purpley in the pot. But once it is swiped on its more of a brown with a subtle hint of the cranberry tones which will work well if your just braving yourself into these sorts of shades. It does have the most beautiful shimmer running through it as well.
I have really loved these. I don't think they're going to be lasting a full 24 hours but I do get a good 8-10 hours out of them without creasing or too much wear which is longer than a lot of other shadows on the market.
