A stay at Soho Farmhouse

I've had been wanting to stay at one of the infamous Soho houses for quite some time now. First was one in London, but they're pretty hard to get in, second was Babington House but before I knew it, it had been turned to a members only and third time lucky Soho Farmhouse. We treated ourselves to a 1 night stay for Christmas and it was one of the best things we've ever done.

You'll have to excuse my lack of photos here because Soho house like to be a little more exclusive and let their guests enjoy the tranquillity of the venue.. And possibly enjoy each other's company instead of being glued to our phones (which I loved!) so photos are few and far between but the memories will last a lifetime.

Soho Farmhouse has only been open since September, it's new, fresh, the guests and staff are all so enthusiastic about being there. It was just the perfect little winter retreat. It sits in acres of lush green farm land surrounded only by animals. It's really secluded so It's like your driving into another world.

You arrive at the gates and your keys are taken from you on arrival. Your chauffeur driven around in a pristine X3 to see what's in the grounds. We got dropped at the main barn and told if we head to the office for 2pm we will be taken to our cabin where our luggage will be waiting.

Whilst we were waiting we decided to go for lunch. The food is basic but done brilliantly. We shared a goats cheese and beet root salad and a mozzarella pizza. Swiftly followed by a soho mule!

After relaxing over lunch we headed to see the horses and our cabin. As we drove up our cabin was huge, it had two old fashioned bikes that were at our disposal the whole time we were here which was great for getting around. We're given a little tour of the room, you can take as many photos as you like here... And I did...

After playing scrabble for a couple of hours we decided to head up to the spa, we had a sauna, steam and then sat in the plunge pool to watch the sunset. It really was magical, but it didn't end there. We headed in for a couples massage, something neither of us have ever done before. I did think it wouldn't be as relaxing with someone else lying getting a massage right next to you but after five minutes of have "lazy cow" rubbed in I was completely relaxed and in a slight comatose state!

We sat and drank peppermint tea and warmed up by the fire then headed for dinner.

The Main Barn is where you eat all your meals, you can choose to eat in the "fancy barn" where your sat with pristine table clothes and heavy cutlery. That's upstairs and no children allowed. We headed up and, to what I think had the best seat in the house! We got sat in front of a huge open fire. We chatted, giggled and caught up and the. Realised we'd been at dinner for nearly 4 hours. We walked back snugged together under a brolly in the cold rain and couldn't wait to dive into our huge marshmallow of a bed when we got back. Especially as they have an enormous amount of films for you to choose from.

Next morning we rode up to get breakfast, sitting out all wrapped up in front of an open fire on a crisp morning in January was wonderful. When time came to head home I was genuinely sad to leave. But it just makes me more excited to return in the future..
