I've always been a huge fan of a bit of shimmer, whether it's brow bone, eye shadow, usually lip gloss but now it's cheekbone highlighters. I've been toying with the idea of buying the Charlotte Tilbury 'Bar of Gold' but its a whopping £30 so I've been giving it a miss. Then around January time I think it was Lily Pebbles blogged about both the topshop highlighters, I have never been to fond of cheaper make-up ranges but honestly, they're really starting to compete with higher end brands.
So as I was wondering around topshop I had a little look at their make up section and remembered this was something I wanted to try. It's Topshop's highlighter in Polished. I think it was £10 so a fraction of the price of the Charlotte Tilbury, so I thought why not, and I've been loving it!.
The colour in the pot looks a real rich coffee colour but when it's on it's more of a champagne colour with a gold shimmer. It's a mousse texture which I love as I feel with liquid and powder you can sometimes go a little overboard, whereas this you can gradually build up. I absolutely love this product it sits well on top of other make-up and blends really easily.
I use this along my cheek bones, to highlight under my brows, down my nose and a little on my cupids bow to give that bigger lip look.
I couldn't recommend this enough, it's definitely a summer must, but with all this nice weather we've been having recently I'm using it a little earlier than I expected.
Have you tried any of Topshop's make up range?
