Elemis papaya enzyme peel

Im quite known to like a good exfoliation,  nothing better than getting all that grittiness and giving your face, and body a good deep down scrub.

Firstly exfoliation is great for getting rid of dull tired looking skin, what it does is rid the body and face of dry dead skin cells and help to encourage new ones to form to produce a healthy complexion.

But the Elemis Papaya Enzyme peel is something slightly different altogether. Now this is some what of a cult product in the beauty world, the first time I ever used this was when I trained with Elemis some 8 years ago. The Tri- enzyme range was my absolute favourite. The smells were all so fresh and clean smelling and not to say they worked wonders on what was my acne prone skin.

So what is Papaya Enzyme peel?
It uses an enzyme called Papain, which is extracted from crushed papaya and pineapple which is sourced from Africa. The enzyme gently dissolves any superficial dead skin cells, which make the skin rough and uneven. When we were training we were told to imagine a tiny pacman munching away on all that dead skin.
All you need to do is take about a 10p amount and apply to dry skin, leave it on for about 10/15 minutes then remove with a damp muslin cloth.
It is classed as an exfoliator but applies like a mask, it's a very pale milky colour once on the skin but you will know when to remove it as it turns pretty much clear. You'll notice more of a difference when you apply your night time moisturiser your skin just looks so much healthier.
It's been a staple in my collection for on and off the last 8 years, other come and go but nothing will take the place of this amazing exfoliator in my books.

You can pick it up for £29.50 here for a 50ml tube. Or check out all the gift sets Elemis have to offer over Christmas as a lot do contain this.
