Byron Burger Leicester

I seem to have a built in raider for good burgers.. No, no. Great burgers. When Five Guys hit Birmingham I was all over that place like a rash, but so was every other brummie. So I have been on the hunt for a new burger place to check out, and found Byron in Leicester. This is the closest to us, other than Manchester which will be opening soon...

Now if you want simple, tasty and don't mind getting those paws a bit messy carry on... 

Byron serve fresh, juicy and kinda large Scottish beef burgers, and they like to serve them medium rare.. How about that, just how I like it!! The restaurant was packed out too, every Tom, Dick and Harry decided to for for late afternoon burgers, but to our surprise it didn't stop the staff from being really attentive. 

Feeling saucy? The Byron hot sauce was so good!!!

We ordered drinks from the extensive menu..

Peach iced tea for me...

Homemade lemonade for Sam. This was the freshest lemonade we have ever tasted. Bitter but sweet and oh so good. I had to take a sip or two. 

We sat down and were given the food menus, we deliberated back and forth for a good few minutes until put on the spot to order by our really lovely waitress Emma. She gave use some great info on the area and things to do when we go back too... Anyway let's get back to burgers shall we...We wanted to go for different ones, maybe to try each other's. No such luck on my end as my sister inhaled hers. She did say it was amazing!!! My sister headed for the smoky. Topped with smoked cheese, smoked bacon, fried onions, lettuce, chilli sauce and finished with BBQ sauce. 

I opted for a classic cheese burger. I had a mix of cheddar and monetary jack cheese and a little salad. Too much will ruin a good burger. 

The buns were so soft and not majorly filling... nothing worse than feeling all stodgy after a meal!! 

Cooked to perfection!!

With a side of fries and the best onion rings you will ever taste!!! Seriously good. Thick, juicy, crispy. Just yum!! 

There is so much choice on the menu, just a shame out little tummies couldn't take any more or I would of been straight on the man 'n' cheese... And possibly the caramel honeycomb blondie. 

If burgers aren't you bag, there are a small selection of salads to choose from which did look mighty fine, but c'mon if your going to a burger place... Get the gosh darn burger!
