Linthwaite House Hotel - The Lake District

In more recent weeks I have had so much going on I felt like we really needed a break.
Thankfully the hubby never seems to use all his holiday so he had a week left to use and we thought we would utilise our time best by seeing what England has to offer.

First stop, Linthwaite house...

This is a beautiful hotel which sits right at the top of Lake Windermere.

If you want luxury and tranquillity this is where you need to head... exactly the reason we went there, to re-change and relax!!
When you go through the front door there are a huge selection of Hunters, brollys and blankets for you to borrow during your stay.. just in case the weather isn't what you expected!! I know it's not very often we get rain in the UK.... is it!!!!

 Huge comfy sofa's and roaring fires, I could of stayed here a lot longer than we did.

After a long drive we felt something yummy was in order.... A gin and cloudy lemonade and a rustic blt!

 The views are spectacular too, here's a few that we took when we were wandering around the grounds.

If your lucky enough, sometimes you will see the otters playing around the lake. We did wait for about half an hour but no such luck.

This is such a beautiful, picturesque location. Just what we needed.
